Fez Zafar

Fez is an Analyst at Village Global. He is a recent graduate of Harvard University, where he studied Government and was elected to lead the Class of 2024 as First Marshal. Fez has previously worked for two startups in the consumer tech space, one of which he co-founded. He also spent three years as a research assistant to economist Larry Summers. Fez is a native of Des Moines, Iowa.

Q&A with Fez

What’s the common thread that runs through your career?

I am always keen to apply my creativity. Throughout high school, I directed short films, documentaries, and music videos that allowed me to bring nuanced characters and stories to life. In college, I organized unique activities and initiatives that drew participation from students across campus: an interview-style comedy show, a 900-person game of ‘spoon assassin’, and even a personal matchmaking service.

What’s one of your superpowers?

Creating meaningful connections with people of different backgrounds, passions, and interests.

In your spare time?

I enjoy reading books about startups, meeting new people, and going for walks with friends!
